The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming! (To Tell Us the Truth)

by | Jan 9, 2017

One of the intelligence community’s (sic) bits of “evidence” that Putin tried to subvert American democracy during the presidential election is that Russia’s state-backed TV channel RTbroadcast, hosted, and advertised third-party candidate debate.” Oh horror! What will those Russians do next, expose the truth about candidates? Oh wait, it’s already alleged they did that.

You certainly won’t find American news channels ruining our democracy by broadcasting a debate between the Libertarian and Green Party candidates. We can be assured of that, thank goodness. Two-party democracy is safe indeed — if we can stop the Russians.

The declassified report also stated:

“We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process…”

Really? By disclosing the truth? Maybe public faith ought to be undermined.
