  • Trump may introduce a ban on military officials responsible for buying military equipment from ever working for private defense contractors. Trump believe this would reduce the cost of government contracts with private defense companies. [Link]
  • An anti-civil asset forfeiture bill has passed the Ohio Congress. If signed into law, the bill will give Ohio citizens a better legal standing to fight civil asset forfeitures. [Link]
  • Hidden inside of the NDAA 2017 the Senate passed the Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act. This act will allow the government to crackdown on what it labels propaganda and will create a fund to pay anti-propaganda journalists. [Link]
  • The Denver Mayor ordered police to stop seizing blankets and tents from homeless people. The city of Denver plans to continue to enforce the camping ban law and can fine homeless people $999 for sleeping in their tents. [Link]
  • Turkey’s largest political party proposes constitutional changes that would abolish the position of prime minister and give more powers to the president. [Link]
  • Two bombs explode as fans leave a soccer game in Istanbul. At least 38 are dead, and most of the dead are believed to be police officers. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but the Turkish government is blaming the PKK. [Link]
  • 25 have been killed in the bombing of an Egyptian church. A newly formed terror group Hasm is claiming responsibility for the attack. [Link]
  • In Somalia, a car bomb was used to kill 16 in the capital city. [Link]
  • After setbacks this week, Iraq deploys reinforcements to Mosul. Iraqi forces were pushed back by an ISIS counterattack. [Link]
  • Last night, ISIS attempted to recapture Palmyra. 64 airstrikes from Syria and Russia drove ISIS out of Palmyra. [Link]
  • In Yemen, pro-Hadi soldiers were in line to receive paychecks when attacked by an Islamic State suicide bomber. At least 45 soldiers were killed in the attack. [Link]
